This was posred Fri 20th  Mimibus from Lalibela to airport. Weighing scales bust & printer not working so boarding tickets took ages to hand write. Now waiting for flight.
Bonkers security. I had a piece of string confiscated from my bag.
18:20 now in Addis Ababa at Bella Hotel (thanks for free wifi but it disn't connect)

The sunrise was just before 7am so went on to hotel roof terrace to watch red on distant hills. Nobody else out.

20:40 Interesting day visiting rock hewn churches and the interconnecting tunnels. Tonight will be my last night in a bed for a while. Journey home starts tomorrow & due home Sat evening.

06:10 Last night on Gondor at Goha Hotel. After breakfast due to fly to Lalibela for lots of culture.

12:00 now in Lalibela after good flight across amazing landscape. Great views from hotel roof.

18:45 Afrernoon touring the Lalibela churches cut from the rock. Dating from about 12th century. Interesting but annoying how many people want money.

Managed to get wifi signal in Ethiopia. Just back from big mountains. Had shower, in clean clothes & about to go for well earned lunch.

10:10 Now on train from Preston to Euston. Just bought a Daily Telegeaph and a copy of Viz. Wide range of reading there.

14:00 after diversions on tube reached Heathrow terminal2 at 14:00 to find it's all changed since I was last here it'll all self service, like at supermarkets. A nice man showed me how to scan my passport, pick my seat and get label for my baggage. Though I can't go to bag drop until 15:30.

Checked out Stocks Garage in Hr Wheelton for future car servicing. Think I'll go there in future.

13:55 no at Vue Preston to see Ex Machina. Hope its better than the poor America Sniper film I saw last week.
It was an OK film & certainly better than last weeks
19:15 at Chorley Photographic Society for yet another competition night. Due to start at 19:30
They've just erected a new screen that was obtained 2 weeks ago. It's the same type as one I bought many years ago. A frame sxreen and screw on side legs.

10:30 first thing short walk nwar Loch Doine where Rob Roy's house was. Now at Balqudidder Kirk to visit the grave of Rob Roy MacGregor (1671-1734) Though there is some dispute about his actual burial spot. He died very near here after a duel so here makes more sense.

05:15 a very windy night here by Loch Warn but thankfully no snow.
